We
Passionists are a culturally diverse and universal family within the
Church. We
centre our lives in a special way in the Paschal Mystery of Christ. We
have a
specific missionary commitment:
We try to
live in deep communion with the Crucified One and to imbibe the spirit
in which
he loved us unto death that all might live. Thus we feel ourselves
called to reach out to
others with the same selfless love, especially to those who are in some
way
crucified by the world of today.
The following photographic links gives an idea of how this mission is being carried out throughout the world. These links are planned to be in continuous renewal as the places are numerous and the developments are ongoing. Truly the photographs only give a mere glimpse of wealth of our missionary outreach but they also give a good insight into our spirit.
Years in which Passionist Foundations were established in countries around the world

The
dramatic
crucifixion of Christ is reproduced today in our suffering men, women
and
children all over the world, and in the agony of our home, the much
abused
planet earth. This suffering touches the heart of a Passionist. It
calls each
of us to compassion and to action. Our members respond in many
practical ways
to the needs of the suffering on every continent. We feel the call to
raise our
voice even on the world stage at the United Nations. We have banded
together
with Passionist Sisters and like minded lay groups to send our own
representative to the UN in New York to speak there on behalf of the those who
suffer from unjust situations and to promote a more humane world. We are Passionists International. See the web site at: http://www.passionistworld.org
Our
representative to the UN is Fr. Kevin Dance, CP, from Australia.
